Candolim is a survey town in North Goa, situated in the “Bardez taluka in” the state of Goa, India. It is situated just south of the famous Calangute Beach, is a popular tourist destination. Candolim is a little municipality in the Western Goa, India. Standing on the shoreline of the Arabian Sea, it’s famous for Candolim Beach, to the north, lively Calangute Beach. Viceroy’s Arch in Candolim
Possibly the best way to reach your destination in Old Goa is the same way that visitors did in the city’s heyday. Approaching beside the broad “Mandovi River”, new arrival would have primary glimpsed the city’s busy quay just in face of the representative arched entrance to the city.
This archway, also called the Viceroy’s Arch, was erect by Vasco da Gama’s grandson, Francisco da Gama, who became viceroy in 1597. On the side facing the river the arch (which was restored in 1954 following a collapse) is ornamented with the deer emblem on Vasco da Gama’s coat of arms.
Coco Beach in Candolim
The Coco beach is located at the entrance of the Nerul River on the “Mandovi Estuary”, in a straight line opposite Panji. There are a number of restaurant here, the 10 or so restaurants are famous in the afternoon, but silence at night.

Church of Our Lady of Hope in Candolim
The Church of Our Lady of Hope, also called ‘Nossa Senhora Da Esperança’ is a Roman Catholic church in the Diocese of Cochin. It is situated at the island of Vypeen – the point where the “Vembanad Lake” merge with the Arabian Sea, with Fort Cochin on the other side.
The church, with an area of 10 km2, occupy southern end of Vypeen Island, is the northern most border of district of Cochin. It happen to be one of the oldest churche in Cochin, build by the Portuguese in 1605 A.D

By Bus : Candolim Beach is well linked to the “Panaji Bus Station”, which is only 12 km away. There is a lot of Kadamba Transport Corporation and private bus operator from Panaji bus stop to Candolim. At Mapsua the bus is also available for Candolim.
